How the Summer was...:-)

Hello everyone this is the first real entry in my new blog/site, here goes!!

First I’d like to thank my new customers and the interesting people I’ve come to meet,  it’s been a great summer!  Being a sailor myself, I love the fact that sailors drop by and donate their old sails to become bags with a story!

A short summary:

With materials gathered, designs & patterns complete, fabric cut, machines oiled, the production began.  It’s awesome to create the new from the old.

My first order of bags went to Down Home Living, on Lincoln Street in Lunenburg, can’t miss it, just look for the very large Sea Dog bag sign.  Tessa & Dawn have become good friends and enthusiastic customers since the start.

The first day of the Lunenburg Market, was in its brand new location in a large parking lot behind the arena. I participated every Thursday from 7:00am to 1:00pm this summer.  I had a spiffy set-up and a lot of really cool seabags to sell, as well as some other bags we’ll talk about another day.  It was a great success!  The Market re-opens in May of 2009, I’ll see you there next year!

On every Saturday of the summer and harvest season, I attend the Hubbards Farmers Market, it’s a lovely all weather venue, in a sailing community, with a bonus, our friends have a beautiful topsail Schooner just minutes away.  How cool is that!
